Leximo® differs from other virtualization software in a way it enables inexpensive configuration. It actives instance on same OS and there is no need for packaged software cost of OS license or middleware on each virtual machine.

General Virtualization

In case of using general virtualization, OS and middleware cost is required for each virtual machine in addition to the cost for OS and middleware on physical machine.
A license is required for each virtual machine, and the cost will increase.

In case of Leximo

In case of using Leximo®, an independent system is activated on physical machine as ‘Instance’ so it is not required to prepare OS and middleware for each virtual machine.
It enables inexpensive configuration with license fee for only one machine.

Product Portfolio

Leximo®/base is packaged software with basic functionality of Leximo®. Container-Based Virtualization function, Instance State Sharing function, Process State Monitoring function and Job Schedule function will be installed.
Leximo®/duplex is packaged software to construct redundancy configuration in the same community of Leximo® and among instances of a cluster. System Configuration Command (in active or standby) and System Status Display Command will be installed.
Leximo®/alert is packaged software for monitoring the instance status in leximo®, and it collects and displays the instance information such as shared event log and error log in the community. Real Time Display and Search function, Sound Reporting function, Network Supervision function and Machine Monitoring function will be installed. Linkage function to other products (PATLITE, etc) is also attached to it.

Redundancy configuration function

It can make instance of same community more redundant.
This functions run only on the machine which Leximo®/duplex(duplex packaged software) is installed. After instances with redundancy configuration are grouped into a unit called ‘cluster’, you can set active instance and standby instance. If active instance stops due to some reason, standby instance automatically detects the status and its status will be raised to activate status.
The max number of clusters is 32.

Community configuration feature

It can identify multiple instances as the same system. This is called community. The instances grouped into same system can share instance information (※) among instances.

Relation among community, cluster, and instance

The relation among community, cluster, and instance of Leximo® is described in the illustration below.

Other functions

Leximo®, container-based virtualization middleware, has variety of other functions.
